Holiday Season
Jonas Brothers News 12 Comments »The Jonas Brothers have gone on vacation! They spent time last week in the Bahamas, enjoying the beautiful beaches of the island of Nassau. But while it may have been vacation, the boys were still hard at work—they performed at a sold-out concert and invited the editor of Popstar magazine along for some chatting, pictures and interviews.
But they’re not escaping this winter season completely. The Brothers recently decorated a Christmas tree for a photo shoot with People. They smiled, they decorated, they had a good time; it was altogether filled with holiday cheer. Joe also shared a little family tradition: wearing their pajamas inside out!
“We think if we wear them inside out, then it will snow,” Joe reported. “We got the idea from some movie we saw when we were kids. We still do it.”
More Christmas cheer with the boys will follow as they perform on Christmas Day during the Disney parade. The Parade—aired on ABC—will be hosted by Regis Philbin, Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest. Performances will be occurring both at Walt Disney World in Florida and Disney Land in California. Although over 600 artists are expected to perform, the Jonas Brothers are some of the main stars of the event.
Doing Good
Nick Jonas has been working on an independent project of his own to unite all those who, like him, are affected by Diabetes. Together with Bayer Diabetes Care, he has designed two dog-tag necklaces, one for supporters and one for those personally battling with the disease. The latter includes medical information in case of emergency. Inscribed on both are lyrics from the song Nick wrote about his Diabetes, entitled “A Little Bit Longer.”
A portion of the proceeds goes to the Jonas Brothers’ Change for the Children Foundation. Nick Jonas was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when he was 13. The dog tags are on sale at NicksSimpleWins.com.
Musical Loves
The boys have finally dished on their musical loves and influences!
Joe Jonas, for example, has touted Rolling Stones lead man, Mick Jagger, as an enormous influence on what he does on stage, and admits that he would love to meet him.
The Brothers recently named Coldplay’s Viva la Vida and singer Adele as their favorites of the year.
What’s in the works musically? Well, reportedly “No Air” singer Chris Brown has been penning a few songs for them, but word is not yet out whether the boys, who are devoted to and proud of writing their own songs, have accepted them.
